Realistic pro-44 scanner how to program

I don't know where to start on fingering out what I have done wrong. Any help would be much apperciated. A couple of questions to be able to help you. What are you trying to monitor City, county, state, agencies? Do you have programming software? If so. This article from our wiki has links always in blue that will help you get started.

There is an Easier to Read manual for these radios linked at the bottom of Read the links in the article I gave - they will get you started with understanding the terminology, trunking and so on. There is no frequency programmed.

Also be sure you have updated the firmware from the RS download page. Make sure you are transferring data.

This will allow the scanner to receive only the strongest transmissions. At this point, you slowly turn the squelch control clockwise until the hissing sound stops. You can also make the scanner more efficient by locking out certain channels. If the scanner is scanning and stops at the desired channel, press the manual button just once.
