The Internal Medicine residency program at St. Mary Mercy Hospital is a fully accredited three-year intensive training program. Internal Medicine is the discipline encompassing the study and practice of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, care, and treatment of men and women from adolescence to old age, during health and all stages of illness.
She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Nanthabalan has special focus on bedside teaching, improving medical decision-making skills via case based learning and evidenced based medicine. She is also a lead physician in multiple hospital wide quality improvement projects.
Transitional residents will have the opportunity to work closely with the residents from internal medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, orthopedics and family practice, as well as our core faculty and subspecialists, during the transitional year.
