HGST Support. Hi Everyone, I am having trouble media streaming some mkv files. Any help would be appreciated. Its driving me a little crazy. They are some files that are not supported over the network due to the codec of such file. You will need to confirm if the media server that you are using supports MKV files In the mean time you can use the windows shares that does work for MKV. All rights reserved.
It will play 1 but not all? I have read many different options on the message boards. I have the re-encode instructions printed and am going to try that next.
Has anyone had the same problem and re-encoded and it worked? I am very close to taking this product back and searching for an XBMC.
It would help greatly if you posted the MediaInfo freeware information on any files you cannot play just one or two would suffice. I will admit I am not a computer genuis when it comes to this stuff.
I have the re-encoding printed, have no idea what re-muxing is…lol…please be paitent! I am at work, so I dont have the files types available right now.
I am very frustrated at this point because nobody even the computer whiz upstairs can figure this out. So if you can help me solve my problem I would be forever grateful. I have tried disconnecting the WD TV Live several times for a few minutes and still the same problem. I have the exact same issue. I upgraded to the. Whether over the network or via 2 different USB drives which I know work and used to work with the same files.
Is there any fix? I have even reset my box a couple times, left it unplugged, no luck. Do this always and you will never have any problems with your Western Digital Media Player. No more frustration. Good Luck and Happy Viewing Folks!!! I tried all the worksarounds here, but the issue continues.
Are there some compatibility list that I should take care of? Sorry for my english…. From above list, we can see that WD TV has limited formats playback capability, in addition, it also has its own compatible file codec, resolution, bit rate, frame rate, channels, etc. To get any any unsupported file types played on WD TV, you will need a powerful media conversion tool.
To achieve best playback effects on WD TV, you can adjust the output profile parameters such as video codec, bit rate, frame rate, resolution, audio codec, bit rate, sample rate, channels based on the list above.
